SDCC Youth Study Visit – Lamac Multi-Purpose Cooperative

Naging makabuluhan kina Jane Pauline at Gng.

Jane Pauline D. Bautista, an EDSD student together with her adviser, Ms. Venus B. Bersales were given the opportunity for a study-visit to the Lamac Multi-Purpose Cooperative in Cebu last February 10, 2023. Jane Pauline is the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Escuela de San Dionisio (EDSD) Laboratory Cooperative. She participated in the “NATCCO Learning Study Visit Lamac MPC Youth Planet Laboratory Cooperative” that was held in Pinamungahan, Cebu to learn its best practices that brought them success and development together with their community.
She learned about the history of the Cooperative and the programs implemented to develop their community. Most interesting was their own water buffalo farm where the milk from the carabaos are made into value added products like “Mangobao” Juice Drink, Ice cream and bread. Jane Pauline even had “hands on experience” in breadmaking using carabao’s milk as main ingredient. It was an enriching study visit for Jane Pauline and Ms. Venus because they participated actively and learned. There is much that they can share to our Cooperative and their school, EDSD, back in Parañaque.
