DIR. RAYMOND JOSEPH L. SALVADOR WELCOME’S BARANGKA CREDIT COOPERATIVE’S 28TH GENERAL ASSEMBLY

Last March 30, 2014 (Sunday), Barangka Credit Cooperative (BCC) held its 28th Annual General Assembly at Marikina Elementary School located at W. Paz St., Marikina City. Engr. Raymond Joseph L. Salvador, Director of San Dionisio Credit Cooperative (SDCC), pitched in for Dir. Herminio C. Hernandez, who could not make it at that time, as one of the guest speakers.

BUILDING A BETTER TOMORROW

AIM HIGH FOR 1B-20-15

DREAM. BELONG. ACHIEVE”

was BCC's theme for this year.

Engr. Raymond Joseph L. Salvador, in his message, said that the improvement of BCC has been significant after it was founded last 1986 with 37 cooperators and P5,300 share capital. After 28 years, its membership has grown to 13,726 members and to P677 M in share capital. It is proof that the officers and staff are trustworthy and the spirit of volunteerism is very evident. He believes that the direction of 1B-20-15 (P 1 B asset/20,000 members for the year 2015) can be achieved, because of the effective strategies and cooperation among officers, staff and most specially the members. A chance for members to directly participate in the progress of BCC through patronizing its services. Regarding the letter of Dir. Hernandez, based on experience, there are 3 keys to a successful cooperative:

  1. Enlightened leadership

  2. Active member participation

  3. Good management .

And these are all achieved through education. “A cooperative starts with education, expands through education, controlled through education and its success depends largely on education” according to Dir. Herminio C. Hernandez.

Again, we congratulate Barangka Credit Cooperative (BCC) on its 28 years of service to its members and the community.

More power and Mabuhay !!
